Glossary

Short explanations for terms that are common in DoA calls and guides.

Aggro

Bad aggro

A patrol of enemies has multiple states:

  • running when patroling between locations
  • reballing when arriving or departing a location
  • idling after a reball
  • moving in place after idling

If you aggro them while reballing or idling, their maximum aggro range will be reduced, resulting in unexpected aggro breaks. This can often happen in the City of Torc'qua which is full of margonite patrols.

Chain Aggro

When two enemy groups are close enough that aggroing one also pulls the other.

Corpse Aggro

When walking near a corpse, the remaining members of the group, if there are any, will get aggro.

Share Aggro

When multiple party members enter enemy aggro range and the group keeps aggro because at least one member is still holding it. In that state, other players may not be able to drop aggro just by running away.
