If you are new to DoA speed clears, do not start by trying to read every tactic page. Start with the basics, prepare one first role, then ask for a gear check before joining a teaching run.

Your First Goal​

Your first role will usually be Empathy.

Empathy is the easiest mesmer role to start with, but it still needs the correct build, gear, consumables, and titles. Before your first run, prepare the shared Mesmer gear baseline and ask for a gear check in a teaching Discord.

What To Read First​

Read these pages in this order:

  1. Overview to understand what DoA is and what each area asks from the team.
  2. Fundamentals for communication, cast range, aggro management, and skill notes.
  3. Glossary when a term or callout is unclear.

Before Joining A Run​

  • Join a teaching Discord.
  • Prepare the Empathy build.
  • Prepare the required mesmer gear, pcons, and titles.
  • Ask for a gear check before signing up for a run.

Once Empathy feels comfortable, follow the role progression in the 3-3 Teaching overview. Do not rush into advanced tactics; most mistakes become easier to fix when your fundamentals are solid.
